Principal's Message
Welcome Back to School!
North Ranchito Elementary is one of 8 elementary schools in the El Rancho Unified School District. We serve kindergarten through fifth grade with a student population of approximately 550 students. In addition, North Ranchito provides pre-kindergarten opportunities in three programs: the Adult Education Preschool Program (Mommy & Me), the State Preschool Program, and the Special Education Preschool Program. Parents in all preschool programs are encouraged to participate in North Ranchito’s bilingual parent workshops held at the site. This year we have a full time teaching staff of 22 in addition to one full time Instructional Coach, and Speech Pathologist.
I am excited to report that North Ranchito students have made gains on the STAR Test. I congratulate our parents and families, staff, and students for your involvement and support which helps to bring continued progress.
Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is committed to building an incredible and inspiring learning environment. We are very thankful for the countless hours of volunteering by parents, family members, and staff. Our School Site Council and English Learner Council meet regularly to discuss school-wide goals and accountability measures.
It is exciting to begin a new school year with a terrific team. I look forward to another successful school year together. Thank you in advance for your hard work and continued dedication to our students. As always if there is anything that I can do to assist you, please contact me. Welcome Back to the Land Of the Pumas!
Sincerely,
Cynthia Alvarez,
Principal
