Dates for the 2013-2014 school year

Every school day counts in our children's education. In an effort to promote daily attendance, North Ranchito Elementary will be celebrating the classrooms who reach perfect monthly attendance and overall best attendance. National research shows that student attendance is a strong predictor of academic performance.

North Ranchito students are invited to enter the 2013-2014 I am Going to College! Bookmark Design Contest. The winner will be featured on the school website and will have his/her bookmark distributed to every student at North Ranchito.

Join us for this FREE community event as we promote health awareness and education for the whole family in a fun, supportive environment. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about local resources and providers. More than 30 community partners will be providing information on nutrition, health care, mental health services, women's health, parenting, food services, dental care, children's social services, sports, city resources and much more!

Carrot Salad

As you know, our Program Improvement focus is to improve reading comprehension. This year we have continued to implement various best practices to improve this area. North Ranchito Elementary has launched the Accelerated Reader Monthly Incentives. Students have a target goal each month. Individual students who beat the monthly target will receive an extra 15-minute recess, a class picture displayed in the front bulletin board, and an opportunity to earn the A.R. Puma T-shirt. Students who meet the three-month target earn the A.R. Puma T-shirt.
