As you know, our Program Improvement focus is to improve reading comprehension. This year we have continued to implement various best practices to improve this area. North Ranchito Elementary has launched the Accelerated Reader Monthly Incentives. Students have a target goal each month. Individual students who beat the monthly target will receive an extra 15-minute recess, a class picture displayed in the front bulletin board, and an opportunity to earn the A.R. Puma T-shirt. Students who meet the three-month target earn the A.R. Puma T-shirt.

On Tuesday, February 12th, North Ranchito Elementary offered the second of five Parenting for Academic Success Series. The compilation of reading questions was created by North Ranchito parents during our February Parent Workshop. North Ranchito Elementary thanks all of the parents who attended our last two workshops and extends an invitation to all parents to attend the Tuesday, March 12th workshop on Common Core Standards.

On Thursday, January 31st, North Ranchito Elementary offered the first of five Parenting for Academic Success Series. The compilation of ideas was created by North Ranchito parents during our January Math Workshop. North Ranchito Elementary thanks all of the parents who attended our first workshop and extends an invitation to all parents to attend the Tuesday, February 12th workshop on literacy.

Starting in October, North Ranchito Elementary will be launching the Accelerated Reader Monthly Incentives. Students will have a target goal each month.
